NYX Matte Lipsticks Review

Hey lovies ! I picked up a few of the matte lipsticks by NYX. The colors i chose are Summer Breeze, Indie Flick, Hippie Chic, Pale Pink, and Shocking Pink. These beautiful bright vivid colors come in a cute matte black packaging. They are highly pigmented, long lasting lipsticks. The formula is pretty dry, considering they have a matte texture, and also vary by color. I find the lighter the shade, the dryer the formula. Because of the matte finish, some of them exaggerate the lines on your lips so exfoliating and moisturizing your lips prior to application is necessary.

pale pink is exactly what it is called, a pale pink color. this particular lipstick is extremely dry. the color is nice, but it really exaggerates any dryness and lines on the lips.

hippie chic is a pretty peachy pink color. it is also drying and unflattering.

shocking pink is a gorgeous fuschia purple/pink. the formula is great and glides on beautifully. 

indie flick is a bright red orange. this one is definitely my favorite of all. 

summer breeze is a fun and flirty barbie pink lipstick.

i would recommend two out of the five lipsticks mentioned. definitely check out indie flick and shocking pink. they are absolutely gorgeous and are the least drying on the lips.

for my first post i would like to share my latest beauty haul. i recently purchased the coastal scents 22 piece brush set and the 88 original eye shadow palette. these sleek brushes include a leather roll up brush case and everything you need to create a flawless face. the set contains a mixture of soft synthetic, nylon, goat, and pony haired brushes. they are great high quality brushes for a great price.

the 88 original palette includes 88 highly pigmented shadows in a matte black case. the eye shadows also come with two dual end foam applicators and a mirror. the eye shadows are pressed powders, mainly matte and some have a satiny finish. the 88 colors include your neutrals, transitional, and bright colors. you can create many different looks from natural to dramatic, day to night.
